PURPOSE: To provide a sliding part material for a frictional damper having a stable coefft. of friction and wear resistance in a low speed region. CONSTITUTION: This sliding part material is a ceramic sliding part material having a compsn. consisting of 60-85wt.% SiC, 5-25wt.% Fe2 O3 , 5-20wt.% Sin. and 2-10wt.% Al2 O3 . Powdery starting materials giving the compsn. are mixed, compacted in a prescribed shape and fired in the air to obtain the sliding part material. |
