Track-guided transport system for goods conveying

The transport system has a transport element (10) with guide and drive elements and an associated transmission head (2), acting as a secondary element for transferring power from a primary circuit (6,7) laid along the guide track. The transmission head has a ferrite core enclosed by a secondary winding (W2) which is magnetically coupled to the primary circuit for providing the electrical energy for a forwards propulsion drive with gravity compensation for low- friction forwards sliding along the guide rail. A waveguide (1) extending along the track communicates with an antenna (14) coupled to the transport element, for data communication between the latter and at least one fixed station.
