PURPOSE: To obtain stock, which has comparatively lightweight and high strength and is resistant against shock and the like and suitable for a guard jacket generally including bulletproof or swordproof vest, by a laminated structure wherein synthetic fiber cloth, the softening point of which is lower than that of heat resistant fiber, is pinched between woven cloths made of the heat resistant fiber. CONSTITUTION: The laminate cloth has a laminated structure, in which synthetic fiber cloth, the softening point of which is lower than that of heat resistant fiber, is pinched between woven cloths made of the heat resistant fiber. For example, between woven cloths prepared by being woven with aramid fiber threads, cloth made of polyethylene resin having the melting point of 110 deg.C is pinched so as to obtain laminate cloth having three layer structure. In order to make a bulletproof vest out of the laminate cloth, firstly the laminate cloth 1 is cut so as to produce the basic form of the bulletproof vest sewn with aramid fiber thread. Next, the basic form of the bulletproof vest is put on a pattern material 2 in imitation of a chest, which is placed in a working chamber set at 120 deg.C, so as to bring closely in contact with the pattern frame 2 under the state that the laminate cloth 1 is softened. |
