PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture, assemble, and adjust lens easily by suppressing the number of lens of an optical scanning apparatus to the minimum. SOLUTION: This optical scanning apparatus is constituted of a light source 10, a collimating lens 20, a compound prism 30, a rotary multi-face mirror 40, and a scanning lens 50. The compound prism 30 is so installed between the rotary multi-face mirror 40 and the light source 10 as to make the optical axis of the prism at right angles to the light source 10 and at the same time as to have a function of a cylindrical lens. The scanning lens 50 is made of a single lens having magnifying power in the scanning/auxiliary scanning direction and is provided with an F-θfunction and at the same time corrects the run out of the rotary multi-face mirror. |
