PURPOSE:To enhance color developing performance and to prevent fog by processing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material containing a specified yellow coupler with a color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material contain ing at least one of the yellow couplers represented by formula I is processed with the color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol. In formula I, R<1> is optionally substituted tertiary alcohol or such aryl; R<2> is halogen or alkoxy; R<3> is optionally substituted alkyl or such aryl; Y<1> is a diva lent bonding group; and X is a group releasable by coupling, thus permitting color developing performance to be enhanced without increasing fog density. |
