<p>PURPOSE: To effectively print a grain pattern which has no streak irregularity, no design nature and clear sense of roughness even on a medium which takes ink wrong. CONSTITUTION: The engraving image data as engraving data of the same resolution and scanning direction are formed based on grain pattern image data arbitrarily generated by an image generator 10, the image data is converted to engraving data, then grain design cell patterns are laterally and longitudinally engraved at endless period by controlling an engraving unit 20 to form a printing plate. At this time, the grain image data is generated by a monitor display format, the resolution is converted to the same as the engraving data by a resolution converter 12, and the scanning direction is converted to the same by a scanning direction converter 14. Then, all the pixels included in each pixel block are integrated to either white or black by a matching processor 16 to distinguish the image block to cell correspondence and non-cell correspondence, then the other same block adjacent to the cell corresponding pixel block is removed, thereby forming the engraving image data.</p> |
