MANUFACTURE OF MOLD FIBER-REINFORCED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN FOAM

PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic foam which an be simultaneously molded together with a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin of a skin layer without previously molding a foamable thermoplastic resin to become a core material layer and the skin layer is not broken or the thickness does not become irregular even in a product having a complicated sectional shape. CONSTITUTION: A foamable thermoplastic resin composition 3 is supplied and foamed while continuously shaping a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet 1 to a hollow unit 2, and the unit 2 is disposed along a control member 107 by foaming pressure in the state that a lubricant is interposed between the unit 2 and the material 107 for controlling its outer periphery, thereby shaping it to a desired sectional shape.
