FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: device for compacting ground has a frame with support jig, vibration-percussion member with ramming plate, drive of the vibration-percussion member, power cylinder for holding the casing of the vibration-percussion member against the ground, and a pull member. Vibration-percussion member is installed on a frame and spring loaded against it. The pull members are placed in symmetry about lengthwise axis of the device. Each pull member is made in the form of hollow casing with an eye, a rod with a rest and an eye, shock absorber and plate springs. The rod is installed in the casing so as to be moved within some limits along lengthwise axis of the latter. The rod is hinged to the ramming plate through the eye. The casing is hinged to the frame through the eye. The shock absorber is installed in casing cavity so as to interact with the rest face which faces the casing eye. Plate springs are provided with axial opening to pass the rod through, and are installed in the casing so as to interact with rest face, which faces the ramming plate.
