A layer (15) of heat insulating material is introduced into the mould for concrete, before pouring on the fluid concrete. In the base area (11.1) of the outer wall there is a section of concrete which remains uncovered by the heat insulating layer. After the erection of the wall section (10) on a base (13) or foundation, this section is provided with a damp proof course (16). The heat insulating material on the side making contact with the concrete has a roughened surface.
