PURPOSE: To provide a toner concentration controller which exerts toner concentration control matching each development condition. CONSTITUTION: The toner concentration controller adds toner by turning on a toner-replenishing motor when the concentration of toner in a developing unit 6, which develops an electrostatic latent image on the surface of a photoreceptive drum 1, falls below a specific value. The length of time that the motor is on is controlled based on information on the insertion of paper P on which the developed image is transferred (information on the number of sheets for preset development, both-sided/one-sided development, development speed, etc). |
