A tool for thermoforming of plastic containers comprises an upper part with a guide for forming air and a lower part with moulding cavities each having a tool base (6) connected to an ejector (7). An improved connection between the tool base (6) and ejector (7) is effected by an arrangement comprising (a) a larger dia. shoulder (21) on the ejector (7) with a cylindrical section at the tool base (6) end running into a conical section (22); (b) a cylindrical bore (25) in the ejector (7) side of the tool base (6) with a dia. corresp. to that of the cylindrical shoulder and running into a chamfer (29) matching the conical ejector section (22); (c) a conical shoulder (27) on the tool base.
