<p>The invention relates to forming apparatus for forming a heat deformable material, the apparatus comprising two opposed platens 7, 8, one of which at least is heatable by suitable means, and one of which carries a forming profile 10, the other being substantially planar, and means for moving the platens towards and away from one another so that in one operative position material may be formed. The apparatus 1 can be operated manually, or automatically and can be under numeric control. In the described embodiment a blade 13 is mounted on the upper, heated, platen 12 for severing the processed web 2.</p> |
