PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition containing a specific indole derivative, useful in the treatment or prevention of emesis, especially such as post-operative nausea and vomiting induced by anesthesia, not associated with migraine. SOLUTION: This composition contains a derivative (salt) of the formula [R<1> is H; R<2> is H, a halogen, cyano, etc.; R<3> is H, a 1-6C alkyl; (n) is 0-2] [preferably (R)-5-(methylaminosulfonylmethyl)-3-(N-methylpyrrolidin-2-ylmethyl)-1H- indole (fumarate salt)]. The composition is orally, parenterally, nasally, rectally or through a cheek, administered at a daily dose of 0.1-200 mg (as the active ingredient) by one or four potions.
