PURPOSE: To reduce material costs by lessening the useless consumption of materials and to enhance productivity by simplifying working stages and further improving the machinability at the time of machining. CONSTITUTION: This rotary polyhedral mirror is fixed to a rotating member and rotates integrally with the rotating member. The rotary polyhedral mirror is composed of a sintered material formed by sintering a metallic powder mixture formed by adding at least >=1 kinds of powders of any of silicon, copper and magnesium, as additives to aluminum powder as an essential component. The volumetric density of the material is specified to >=95%. The mirror may also be composed of the sintered material formed by sintering the metallic powder mixture formed by adding at least >=1 kinds among the respective powders of chromium, iron, manganese, zinc and titanium in addition to the additives to the aluminum powder. |
