PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce a speed change shock by reliably interposing a speed change to the (n+1)th speed in an automatic speed change device having the possibility of a speed change from the (n+2)th speed to the n-th speed to change the speed in two stages. CONSTITUTION:In a forward 4-speed automatic speed change gear, in case of 4-2 speed change, when an acceleration pedal is stepped into largely during 4-speed running, throttle pressure obtained by a throttle valve 27 increases suddenly, and a 3-4 shift valve 25 is switched to a down position (3rd position). Just after switching, a speed change detection switch (not shown) is turned off, and a delay device 76 starts to operate and outputs a signal to an AND circuit 72 designated time later. Thus, a down shift solenoid 50 is turned on through the AND circuit 72 to connect ports 52, 56 of a solenoid down shift valve 29 to each other, so that 2-3 shift valve is forcedly put in the down state to switch the automatic speed change gear to the 2nd speed position. |
