PURPOSE: To efficiently decompose a fat and oil component while preventing the microorganisms in a fat and oil decomposing chamber from being affected by saprophytes. CONSTITUTION: This waste water treatment device is provided with a waste water accepting chamber 1 which has a strainer 14 and accepts waste water through this strainer 14 and the fat and oil decomposing chamber 2 which has microorganism implanting members 3 implanted with microorganisms for fat and oil decomposition and an air supply means 4 for aeration. The waste water accepting chamber 1 and the fat and oil decomposing chamber 2 are so communicated 21 with each other that the supernatant liquid of the waste water stored in the waste water accepting chamber 1 flows into the fat and oil decomposing chamber 2. The fat and oil decomposing chamber 2 is provided with a first discharge means 5 for discharging the waste water treated in the fat and oil decomposing chamber 2. On the other hand, the bottom part of the waste water accepting chamber 1 is provided with a second discharge member 19 for discharging the precipitate settling on the bottom of the waste water accepting chamber 1. The air supply means 4 is arranged on the bottom of the fat and oil decomposing chamber 2 and the microorganism implanting members 3 are arranged above the air supply means 4. The first discharge means 5 discharges a portion of the waste water lower than the liquid level of the waste water stored in the fat and oil decomposing chamber 2.
