<p>The pouch has a pad in the form of an inflatable cushion (3) to prevent any pressure, especially from clothing, from being applied to the colostomy aperture. The cushion is inflated or deflated by a non-return valve (4) which is located at least partially inside it and has an external projection which allows it to be inflated by the user. The valve is made from two walls (41, 42) of a supple and gas-impermeable material, welded to one another at the sides and having a transverse reinforcement, formed e.g. by a weld line. The cushion extends round the upper portion of the pouch (1) itself and is set at a distance from the pouch's inlet (13) so as to avoid exerting a pressure on it.</p> |
