PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate position detection by generating a level signal in response to energy radiated from an emitter, and determining the relative positions of a platform and a landing threshold in response to this. SOLUTION: An emitter radiates energy through a reflection duct 20 formed between an elevator platform 10 and a landing threshold 15. A plurality of sensors monitor the reflection duct 20, detect the radiated energy, and generate level signals 70 in response to this. A means for responding to the level signals 70 decides when the platform 10 is at the same level as that of the landing site, and is executed by a CPU 135 cooperative with a memory 140 and a program or various electronic circuits. Thus, an elevator cab level is accurately positioned at the level of the landing threshold. Therefore, installation is facilitated, and device and maintenance costs are reduced. |
