PURPOSE: To provide a road marking,particle' for drawing a road demarcation line, ensuring high visibility even at night under the rainy weather by impregnating a porous alumina particle having a specified size and specific surface area, with fluorescent paint. CONSTITUTION: This road marking particle is formed out of a porous alumina particle of high compressive strength having a diameter between 0.5mm and 10mm and specific surface area between 10m<2> /g and 150m<2> /g, impregnated with fluorescent paint. In order to impregnate the porous alumina particle as a carrier with the fluorescent paint, this paint is dispersed and dissolved in a strong solvent such as acetone and, then, the alumina particle preliminarily dried at the preset or higher temperature to remove moisture or the like is immersed in the solvent. Thereafter, the road marking particle carrying the fluorescent paint is mixed with road marking paint for use. As a result, the visibility of a road demarcation line can be improved at night under the bad weather. |
