PURPOSE: To improve the correction processing efficiency by detecting the part having the possibility of error by correcting the information on an unknown word part held in a sentence checked result holding means based on the information on an unknown word part stored in a dictionary for erroneous detection suppression. CONSTITUTION: In the case of erroneous detection suppressing processing, concerning all the unknown word parts held in a sentence checking result holding part 5, an erroneous detection suppressing processing part 9 judges whether the character string of that description is matched with the character string of the unknown word parts stored in a dictionary 8 for erroneous detection suppression. When they are matched with each other all the unknown word parts matched with the character string are pointed out as error candidates so as not to be displayed, and the information held in the sentence checking result holding part 5 is corrected. In the case of sentence checking result display processing, the part having the possibility of error in the sentence is pointed out and displayed on a sentence checking result display part 10 as an error candidate based on the information concerning the unknown word part stored in the sentence checking result holding part 5 at that time point, and processing is finished. |
