<p>The printer has a moving carriage (1) designed to receive an interchangeable printing head (2). It has a frame (7) and a servicing position (6) with at least two types of caps (10,11) for applying to the respective printing heads. The service position has a support (14) on which the caps are positioned side-by-side in a direction perpendicular to that of the carriage's travel, with the support able to move relative to the frame to place one of the caps in line with the corresponding printing head on the carriage. The carriage has a selection lever (26) which cooperates with the printing heads and engage them with the caps.</p> |
