PURPOSE: To realize a different image edit function and to revise optionally even a line width by commanding a void processing, a contour processing or revision of line width of a character thickening processing to an image of binary data. CONSTITUTION: An original is lighted by a fluorescent lamp 4 and a reflected light reflected in the original forms its image on a CCD sensor 5, in which the light is converted into an analog electric signal. The analog image signal is converted into 8-bit digital image data by an A/D converter section 43 and the converted data are fed to a correction section 44 for shading correction. The image data subjected to shading correction in the correction section 44 are stored primarily in a buffer 38 and outputted to an image processing section 37. The image processing section 37 is provided with an image edit function of applying processing such as a void processing, a contour processing and revision of a line width of a character thickening processing to image data from the buffer 38 and image data edited by the image edit function are outputted to an image expansion section 45. |
