PURPOSE: To provide a portable telephone set capable of achieving burglary prevention while improving battery saving efficiency. CONSTITUTION: This portable telephone set transmits position registration signals including a number registered beforehand to a base station at the time of a position registration operation and receives reporting signals for indicating whether or not the number registered beforehand is the number of a stolen portable telephone set from the base station. When the reporting signals indicate that the number registered beforehand is the number of the stolen portable telephone set, a control part 7 performs control so as to invalidate the operations of a keyboard 8 and a power key 9, turn off the display of a display part 10 and transmit alarm signals to the base station. |
