PURPOSE: To provide an optical memory equipment contributing to the miniaturization of an ATM optical exchange as the optical memory equipment used for a packet exchange such as the ATM optical exchange. CONSTITUTION: The ATM optical exchange is provided with an optical signal processing means 103 having M sets of input terminals and k-sets of output terminals, making optical packet signals received from the M-sets of the input terminals confluent and distributing the confluent signal into k-sets of signals, providing a delay by 0 to (k-1) packets to the distributed optical signals and outputting the delayed signal to the k-sets of the output terminals, with an optical path connection means 109 located at the post stage of the optical signal processing means, having k-sets of input terminals and N-sets of output terminals and leading the optical signals received from the k-sets of the input terminals to optional output terminals among the N-sets of the output terminals, and N-sets of optical wavelength selection means 110a-110d connecting to the N-sets of the output terminals of the optical path connection means and selectively outputting only an optical signal with an optional wavelength. |
