PURPOSE: To make it possible to easy add or change the character strings to be replaced or the characters to be replaced by constituting a character processor of a document formation system in such a manner that the replacement of the character strings can be independently executed. CONSTITUTION: The replacement information having the character codes of a succeeding list and the character codes of the replacement characters is added to the character data to be stored in a character data storage means 12. The character data is read out by the inputted character codes and the replacement is determined by a replacement processing means 14 from the succeeding list. The character data of the replacement characters is read out of the character data storage means 12. The character data of the replacement characters is stored in a character data temporary storage means 13 and is delivered to a character pattern forming means 16. The character patterns of the replacement characters are formed by a character pattern forming means 16. |
