PURPOSE: To prevent a discharge and to obtain an image without noise by detecting a current flowing into a photoreceptor at the time of transferring and decreasing the output of a transfer charger, when a change in the inflow current exceeds a fixed value. CONSTITUTION: When the transfer charger 32 is turned on, an injected charge quantity is indirectly detected by the quantity of the current flowing into a photoreceptor drum 21, by taking notice an injection of a charge into a sheet from the drum 21. In other words, the current flowing into the photoreceptor is detected at the time of turning on the transfer charger 32 and when the current reaches an image noise generation limit, the output, that is, output current of the transfer charger 32 is decreased by the fixed value (for instance, 10μA). An image noise generation threshold limit value is switched by the change in environmental conditions (temp. and humidity), the use frequency of a transfer film (the count value of a durability counter), etc. |
