<p>A display for displaying a three-dimensional shape designed. Even when the amount of data on the shape is large, images can be generated at high speed. A displayability determining section (13) finds the displayabilities of parts to be displayed. A part retrieving section (18) controls the reading and processing order of parts in accordance with the importances of display determined based on the displayability data retrieved by the part retrieving section (18). The section (18) reads and displays an image in an image storing section (106) when the parts are viewed from an already generated viewpoint. Therefore, parts can be displayed quickly because the calculation for projection of shape data can be omitted for parts the images of which are not displayed. When images are generated from the same viewpoint, images can be displayed quickly because no projection processing is required.</p> |
