PURPOSE: To enable a gas pressure boosting mechanism consisting of a gas compression cylinder for boosting the pressure of a gas originating from an inert gas generating source with the help of a driving force by a powder-driven servo motor, to be installed near an injection molding machine in a comparatively compact configuration, and reduce the manufacturing cost of the gas pressure boosting mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A gas pressure boosting mechanism 11 consists of two first gas compression cylinders 22 and a second gas compression cylinder 23. A nitrogen gas originating from a nitrogen gas generator 6 is introduced into the compression chamber 22 of the paired first gas compression cylinders through a check valve 9. In addition, if a power-driven servo motor 12 is driven in 'A' direction, the nitrogen gas whose pressure is boosted by the first gas compression cylinders 22 is introduced into the compression chamber 23a of the second gap compression cylinder 23 through a check valve 10. Further, if the power-driven servo motor 12 is driven in 'B' direction, the nitrogen gas is compressed to a higher pressure level by the second gas compression cylinder 23. Thus, the nitrogen gas is compressed in two stages, so that a desired high pressure can be easily obtained, and at the same time, the gas pressure boosting mechanism 11 can be made compact and less costly. |
