Sheet-like products such as newspapers or periodicals, in a continuous stream, in particular in an imbricated formation, have a first section of the products wound up to form a first roll (4 or 6) and a second section of the products wound up to form a second roll (5 or 7) assigned to the first roll (4 or 6), or simultaneosly at station 21 a first section of the products is unwound from said first roll and a second section of the products is unwound from said second rolls. The products are wound up onto the two rolls (4, 5; 6, 7) with the same orientation. At station 18, the rolled products may be stored.
