摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To effectively reduce the amount of edge drop in the joined part between coils and decrease the wear of working rolls, back-up rolls or the like by shifting the work rolls rapidly and definitely. CONSTITUTION: In the completely continuous cold rolling which is executed by arranging the rolling mill which is provided with shifting mechanism and crossing mechanism for a pair of the work rolls having a taper ground part at least on the 1st stand of a cold tandem mill train, at the time of rolling the joined part between a preceding material and the succeeding material, the work rolls 11 are shifted in running and simultaneously crossed. At that time, the cross angleαbetween the work rolls 11 is set based on the next equation according to the ratio of the shift speed of the work rolls 11 to the circumferential speed of the rolls.α=tan<-1> (Vs/Vr)±k. Where,α: cross angle ( deg.), Vs: shift speed (mpm), Vr: circumferential speed of roll (mpm), k: correction angle (0-0.1 deg.).</p>
