<p>Method and device for controlling an interior light of a vehicle, in which when an ignition key is pulled out of an ignition switch with doors closed, the interior light is turned on for the convenience of the driver or other passengers who get out of the vehicle. A control unit (1) detects the on or off condition of each of an ignition switch (2), a door switch (3) and an ignition key detection switch (4). When it judges that the ignition key is pulled out of the ignition switch with the doors being closed, the control unit keeps the interior light (5) on at the second brightness level, lower than the first level for the door or doors being open, and then switches it off after a predetermined period of time.</p> |
