PURPOSE: To provide a document processing method and its device capable of freely inputting data and preparing a chart without being conscious of the size of a cell which is each square of the chart. CONSTITUTION: At the time of inputting the data to each square of a chart frame displayed on a CRT screen, for instance, when the cell width of the first row of a column H is shorter than a data width, this device compares an input data width with the cell width, changes all the cell widths of the column provided with the cell so as to contain input data (example: 'first semiannual sales') within the cell and reconstitutes the chart frame. Such change can be not only the change of the cell width but also the change of a cell height or a display character size. |
