PURPOSE: To obtain a surface protective film having an antistatic effect, high surface hardness and rough surface at a good yield by forming a sheet for forming the surface protective film laminated with a surface protective layer, tacky adhesive layer and separator on a base material having surface ruggedness and transferring the sheet onto the recording layer surface of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION: A rugged surface having a center line average surface roughness of 0.1 to 2.0μm is formed on the surface of the film base material 1. A synthetic resin binder and a conducting agent are incorporated into the surface protective layer 2 to impart flawing resistance and antistatic property thereto. The layer is formed to have a thickness of 2 to 10μm. A transparent tacky adhesive of a thickness 1 to 10μm is used for the tacky adhesive layer 3 and a plastic film subjected to a mold release treatment with silicone, etc., on its surface is used for the separator 4. These layers are successively laminated on the base material 1 to form the sheet. The separator 4 is peeled and the tacky adhesive layer 3 is stuck onto the recording layer of the recording medium and thereafter, the base material 1 is peeled to transfer and form the surface protective film. As a result, the desired surface protective film is obtd. without flawing the recording layer. |
