Novel cholesterol oxidase and epicholesterol dehydrogenase

A process for producing a substance which lowers the cholesterol level in a cholesterol-containing substance by converting the cholesterol into epicholesterol; novel cholesterol oxidase and novel epicholesterol dehydrogenase; a process for producing these enzymes; and a process for producing epicholesterol with the use of the dehydrogenase.
