PURPOSE: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp lighting device which has a long service life and can be simply controlled, and furthermore, can be miniaturized. CONSTITUTION: By feeding a high-frequency current from a high-frequency power source 3 to a high-frequency power feeding coil L0 through an impedance matching circuit 4, a high-frequency power is fed to an electrodeless discharge lamp 1a closely arranged to the inner side of the high-frequency power feeding coil L0 , so as to light the lamp 1a. When the electrodeless discharge lamp 1a is not lighted, a high-frequency power is fed to an electrodeless discharge lamp 1b arranged close to the outer side of the high-frequency power feeding coil L0 , so as to light the lamp 1b. As a result, the apparent lamp life can be extended in a simple structure and an electrodeless discharge lamp which can be miniaturized and also simply controlled can be provided. |
