PURPOSE: To provide circuit configuration without requiring a multiplication circuit for a weak signal and an AGC loop of wide dynamic range with uniform characteristic in a receiver of direct conversion system which receives a digital phase modulation signal. CONSTITUTION: After a reception signal converted to a baseband complex signal is rotated at N kinds of angles of rotation set at an interval ofπ/N by a matrix circuit 6, respective real part is processed by a limiter 7. A phase locked loop can be formed by obtaining demodulated data from the output of the limiter, and also, taking out a phase error signal by a phase error detection circuit 10, and feeding it back to a mixing circuit 3.
