The water from dilute aqueous solution containing tertiary amine oxide such as N-methylmorpholine N-oxide, N,N-dimethylcyclohexylamine N-oxide, N,N-dimethylethanolamine N-oxide, or N-methylhexamethyleneimine N-oxide is separated by using aromatic polyamide separation membrane, made of para aromatic monomer above 75 mol% and meta or orto aromatic monomer below 25 mol% or copolymer of aromatic monomer containing ether or ester and treated at 400 deg.C for 10 min. The aqueous solution is input to the single membrane or hollow fiber film at 60 kgf/cm2, 20-80 deg.C and pH 4-10.
