PURPOSE: To facilitate the registration operation of an intermediate destination by automatically registering the coordinates of a candidate destination and displaying the positional relation of a starting point, an intermediate destination and a final destination and a route therebetween or a route which a vehicle is to enter when the driver or the like of a vehicle selects the cendidate destination displayed in a list as an intermediate destination. CONSTITUTION: When regional information stored in a regional information data base 7 is read, the co-ordinates of a starting point and a final destination are given to a candidate destination detecting device 8 from a signal processing device 4. A retrieval area is automatically set by the detecting device 8, and information relating to a candidature destionation existing in the area is read from the data base 7 and supplied to the processing device 4. The processing device 4 displays candidate regional designation in a display device 5. When a user utilizes a selection part C and specifies either one of the candidate destination designation by cursor operation or the like, automatic registration is preformed by a register part (b). When the coordinate registration of an intermediate destination is performed as mentioned above, the processing device 4 performs a route guide. |
