<p>PURPOSE: To provide a golf ball having a good ball hitting feel and controllability and having flying performance and cutting resistance at a satisfactory level. CONSTITUTION: The cover of the golf ball having a core 1 and a cover 2 covering this core 1 is composed by using a mixture composed of the following resin (A) and the resin (B) at a weight ratio of 60:40 to 90:10 as the essential component of the base material resin and the modulus of bending elasticity of the cover is specified to 100 to 250MPa. The resin (A): copolymer based ionomer resin (i) composed of ethylene andα,β-unsatd. carboxylic acid or a mixture composed of the ionomer resins (i) or a mixture composed of the ionomer resin (i) and a terpolymer based ionomer resin (ii) of ethylene and theα,β-unsatd. carboxylic acid and anα,β-unsatd. carboxylic ester, the resin (B): a thermoplastic polyamide based elastomer having Shore hardness D of 20 to 40 and the modulus of bending elasticity of 10 to 50MPa.</p> |
