PURPOSE: To provide an optical disk having uniform recording sensitivity over the entire surface of the disk and ensuring a wide margin for recording- reproducing action as an optical disk capable of photothermic recording. CONSTITUTION: At least a recording layer 13 in which information is recorded with the heat energy of light and a heat controlling layer 11 for controlling heat supplied to the recording layer 13 are formed on a substrate 2 to obtain the objective optical disk. The heat conductivity of the heat controlling layer 11 is varied by applying a magnetic field. |
