发明名称 REVERSIBLE THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE: To form and erase an image by heating by providing an ultraviolet absorbing layer consisting of an ultraviolet absorber represented by a specific formula and a resin compatible therewith on a reversible thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION: The compounding amt. of an ultraviolet absorber represented by formula (wherein R1 and R2 are an alkyl group and R3 is a hydrogen atom or a chlorine atom) is 20-150 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of a compatible resin (polyester resin) and the solid coating amt. of an ultraviolet absorber layer is 0.5-5g/m<2> . When the obtained thermal recording material is subjected to printing under such a condition that an applied pulse is 1.1msec and applied voltage is 26 bolt using a thermal facsimile, sharp printing is obtained. When a developed color image part is heated at 120 deg.C for 1sec using a thermal stamp, it is erased. Therefore, an image can be formed and erased by heating. When a protective layer composed of an ultraviolet curable resin is provided on the ultraviolet absorbing layer, it is exposed to the heat source of a thermal head at the times of printing and erasure and, therefore, head matching properties can be enhanced.
