PURPOSE: To obtain a recording paper having excellent travelling property which can be used as a transfer paper for electrophotography and as a recording paper for an ink-jet printer by producing the paper from specified pulp and a filler. CONSTITUTION: This paper consists of at least pulp and a filler has such properties that maceration freeness after paper making is 300-600ml, the ratio of (air permeability by OOKEN METHOD/basis area) is 0.1-2.0, 10wt.% or more of the pulp is a chemical pulp made from kenaf stems or sheaths, and the weight ratio of the whole pulp to the filler (pulp/filler) is 95/5 to 80/20. It is necessary that the amt. of kenaf pulp is >10wt.% of the whole pulp, and especially 20 to 80wt.% is preferable. The pulp to be mixed with the kenaf pulp is KBKP, NBKP, LBSP or the like, and LBKP is preferable. These pulps may be used as a single material or a mixture of two or more kinds. It is preferable that freeness and the compounding amt. are controlled and the kenaf pulp is compounded to obtain 300-600ml maceration freeness after paper making. |
