<p>PURPOSE: To provide a super high kick point, and to obtain a carry according to the speed of a head speed without popping of a hit ball with good feeling for a golfer having a high swing speed. CONSTITUTION: In a golf club shaft 10 composed of a pipe made of fiber reinforced composite materials, the taper ratioβof the outside diameter of the shaft 10 from the tip of the shaft 10 to the grip side is so set as to satisfy the relationship, -2/1000<=β<=0, and the flexural rigidity is gradually decreased from the tip of the shaft 10 to the grip side. The change of the flexural rigidity is obtained by specifying the taper ratioαof the inside diameter under the condition ofβ<=0. Since the high kick point exceeding 50% can be obtained by the taper ratio of the outside diameter ofβ<=0 or gradually decreasing of the flexural rigidity, the hit ball is not popped, and the intended effect can be obtained.</p> |
