The powder falls under gravity from a container (30) into the cylindrical jacket (4) of an Archimedean screw (3) which in conjunction with a weigh scale (12) separates each metered portion into a dispersion vessel (8) for stirring (11) into a quantity of water supplied from a pipeline (10).The motor (5) driving the screw is stopped when the prescribed wt. of aq. suspension of powder is ready for delivery through a valve (14). The screw is fed via ports (17,36) facing each other in the jacket (4) and in a rotatable sleeve (18) around it to which the container is fitted.
