<p>PURPOSE: To enable display of a movement having no odd feel in visual sensation by controlling an effect speed near the start and end of an effect at the time of displaying >=2 sheets of continuous images by the scroll effect. CONSTITUTION: Pixel data of static images are stored for at least two screens for every field in a frame memory section 11. A speed control section 13 generates a speed control signal to control the moving speed near the start and end of the present display effect when a scroll command is applied on this speed control section 13. A movement compensation processing section 14 outputs an address control signal to an address generating section 12 and increments an address pointer. The pixel data of the frame memories 11a, 11b are respectively read out by the addresses formed in such a manner and are synthesized in a synthesizing section 15. The smoothly moving images are then displayed even if the instruction on the effect speed of the scroll is given during the course of the scroll.</p> |
