PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid crystal display device of bright color tones by using color filters patterned with plural multilayered interference films on a substrate. CONSTITUTION: The color filters 10 patterned with the plural multilayered interference films are used on the substrate 11 of the liquid crystal display device formed by high polymer dispersed liquid crystals. Namely, the multilayered inteference films (red, blue, green) are formed to band-shaped patterns of a width of 100 microns and pitch of 120 microns by a vacuum device for multilayered optical thin films and the color filters 10 are formed and the color liquid crystal display device of high polymer dispersion type liquid crystals is formed by using such color filters 10. A lenticular lens 13 is laminated on the cell thereof. The color filters 10 of the multilayered interference films patterned are constituted with yellow, magneta and cyan. This lenticular lens 13 improves the visual dependency which is a problem intrinsic to the interference filters by selectively offering the components perpendicular to the color filters 1 of the light from a light source 1 or reflection plate to visual sensation. |
