<p>A communication interface for transmitting serial data between a first and a second interconnectable medical instrument. A set of vertically aligned, horizontally extending leaf springs are disposed on opposing surfaces of the first and second medical instruments. A pair of serial data transfer circuits within the first and second medical instruments transmit and receive serial data through a pair of the leaf springs.</p> |
