Programming method for electronic short-time duration timer, esp. for delay fuze

The method involves using a programming device (10) which passes encoded fuze information to the fuze (30) during a programming sequence. The programmed information is finally read back from the fuze to the programming device during a test sequence. The programming is performed inductively using a transmission coil (20) in the programming device, a receiver coil (32) in the fuze and a modulated carrier frequency. During the test sequence the transmission coil is driven by the unmodulated carrier frequency and the receiver coil is short circuited by the programmed code corresp. to the fuzing information. The resulting phase shift in the transmission coil is detected, evaluated in the programming device and displayed or a corresp. signal generated for further processing.
