A process is claimed for the prodn. of expanded plastics with the aid of a liq. blowing agent compsn. (I) contg. 0.5-50 pts. wt. liq. CO2. Also claimed is (i) a process for the prodn. of compsn. (I) by adding pressure-liquefied CO2 to a liq. blowing agent or a pressure-liquefied blowing agent; (ii) compsn. (I) contg. 0.5-50 (pref. 10-20) pts. wt. liq. CO2. Pref. (I) contains 10-20 pts. wt. liq. CO2 (II) and 30-90 pts. wt. liq. or pressure-liquefied 1-5C alcohol(s), 2-12C aliphatic hydrocarbon(s), 3-12C cyclic hydrocarbon(s), 1-5C halogenated hydrocarbon(s) or 2-6C halogenated ether(s), pref. an aliphatic or halogenated hydrocarbon or halogenated ether, esp. pref. 1,1-difluoroethane (R152a) and/or 1,1-dichloro-1-fluoroethane (R141b).
