WATER ABSORPTIVE RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

An absorptive resin composition which contains primary particles of a water-absorptive resin, and granulated particles obtained by granulating a water absorptive resin, the average particle diameter of which is smaller than that of the primary particles, and which has a high absorption rate, a high liquid permeability and a high absorption coefficient under pressure, and an absorptive article containing this composition. They are manufactured by carrying out the steps of granulating a water absorptive resin having an average partiles diameter of 150-800 mu m with each other. The granulated particles of the water absorptive resin are obtained by mixing a water absorptive resin and a granulating agent with each other, and extruding the resultant mixture from an extruder having a spherical porous plate.
